Ranking Methodology
The ranking is a weighted average of the following factor scores:
- Number of female founders: 35%
- Percentage share of female founders: 5%
- Total early-stage funding (number) of female founders from 2016 onwards: 20%
- Percentage share of early-stage funding (number) of female founders from 2016 onwards: 10%
- Exits for all female founders from 2016 onwards: 20%
- Percentage share of exits (number) of female founders from 2016 onwards: 10%

Metric Criteria
For ranking and funding-related statistics, the following methodology was used:- Number of tech startups founded in or after 2010.
- Leaders in the context: Founder, CEO, Chief Executive Officer, Co-founder
- Only primary organizations were considered. If an individual founded two startups, the count was considered as one. This is the same for funding and exits.
- If a startup has two female founders, the count was considered for both founders. The same count was used for male founder statistics.
- For early-stage funding, deal dates in and after 2016 were considered.
