Startup Genome is looking for a social media and newsletter assistant to work with its content team. In this part-time freelance role you will contribute towards content that reaches hundreds of thousands of policymakers and innovation agencies around the world.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Maintain a social media calendar
  • Identify the most valid and relevant information and posts to share with our social media and newsletter audiences
  • Draft and schedule 5-10 engaging social posts per week
  • Draft one monthly newsletter
  • Collaborate closely with a small team to ensure posts are completed successfully and in a timely manner

REQUIREMENTS

  • Native or advanced English proficiency in both written and spoken communications
  • Understanding of technology, startups, and business at a broad level
  • Prior experience of managing social media posts and engagement
  • Prior experience of drafting and optimizing a newsletter
  • Solid grasp of social media channels, scheduling tools, and newsletter communication platforms
  • Ability to work independently
  • Openness to receiving constructive feedback and making appropriate revisions
  • Some understanding of social media strategy is an advantage

QUICK FACTS

  • Flexibility in working hours, but some availability during core European business hours is required
