Inaugural Report

About #APEXENationsReport

undefined

In partnership with Global Entrepreneurship Network, ABStartups, and Startup20, Startup Genome’s inaugural APEXE Nations Report will compare the individual G20 countries in terms of their startup performance and supporting conditions, establishing a standardized methodology for measuring startup economies at a national scale. It will highlight the conditions needed for entrepreneurs to flourish, drawing the attention of national policymakers toward actions that can help startups thrive.

The APEXE Nations Report will examine what contributes to a successful startup ecosystem, including fostering talent, access to financial capital, and support infrastructure. The report will include the G20’s 19 countries and the EU: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Germany, France, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Mexico, the Russian Federation, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, the U.K., and the U.S. This data-based report will become a core asset supporting future G20 Presidencies and G20 Leaders Summits in their efforts to engineer and harmonize startup ecosystems globally.

Startup20 2024

The APEXE Nations Report will launch in conjuction with Startup20 2024 in Rio de Janeiro in November, an event focusing on technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Startup20 2024 will bring together representatives from startups, public officials, the private sector, and innovation leaders from around the globe for panels on innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as technical visits to innovation hubs, universities, and research centers in Rio. The event is promoted by the official Startup Engagement Group within the G20 – the group of the world's twenty largest economies.

Partnering for Success

“We welcome this partnership with the Startup20 Engagement Group to highlight major trends in the global entrepreneurial ecosystem and derive important policy implications for G20 Leaders. The APEXE Report will underline the importance of global collaboration and we call on national representatives to work with us in creating this invaluable resource.”
