Data Scientist - Python
Startup Genome is looking for a Data Scientist for immediate joining to work as part of the Data Science team. You will have the opportunity to work in a team that maintains and develops the world’s most comprehensive dataset on the global technology startup economy. We produce research on tech startups that influence the policies of our government, innovation agency, and foundation customers (in over 65 countries and growing). The Global Startup Ecosystem Report and Subsector reports highlight the depth of our research and are cited by more than 3,000 media outlets a year.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Manage Startup Genome‘s data: be responsible for maintaining Startup Genome’s quality standards in all aspects of data. This will involve extraction, cleansing, and hypothesis testing; in essence, taking it from “zero to hero”. You will be responsible for and will own all steps involved in the data flow:
- Data extraction, Data storage / Transition and Data transformation
- Data architecture and design - building on what is already set up
- Data pipeline maintenance/testing
- Machine learning algorithm deployment
- Provision of data access tools
- Data extraction, Data storage / Transition and Data transformation
- Make our research scalable by automating analysis on our data science platform, Dataiku
- Have the chance to build and maintain the world’s most comprehensive dataset that boasts robust infrastructure
- Develop and support the culture and processes that guarantee top quality in our data and metrics. You will get a chance to work hands-on in enabling Startup Genome‘s analyses through the provision of reliable and accurate data
- Work closely with our global team of researchers and consultants so our data and metrics measure the “ground truth” and provide actionable insights
